Meet Hootie & Tabitha

Hootie would like a quiet morning. Coffee in his chipped cup. Everything in its place. Nobody knocking at his tree.

Tabitha has other ideas.

A very private owl

Hootie lives in the oldest, tallest tree in the forest. He likes order, quiet and his own company. An unexpected visitor is rarely on his morning list.

He can be grumpy. He can also lend a wing, even when he would much rather stay home. Getting those two parts of Hootie to agree? That is where things get interesting.

A cat with big plans

Tabitha is cheerful, messy and full of projects. Acting! Music! Baking! She loves starting things. Finishing them takes a bit more practice.

One thing she does know is timber. Tabitha works in her own workshop, builds furniture and has very long arms that come in handy. She is a cat with an axe and a reason to use it. Hootie might want to hear that reason before deciding what he thinks.

An unlikely beginning

Their first adventure starts with a BANG near Hootie’s tree. So much for that quiet morning.

In The Unlikely Friendship, a grumpy owl and a cheerful cat discover that doing something together can change a day. There are forest paths to follow, odd things to notice and plenty of chances to get things wrong before getting them right.

Your turn in the forest

Who would you invite over for a biscuit: Hootie or Tabitha? What would they build together?
